King Hammond announces new album!
King Hammond has announced he is working on a new album, entitled ‘Rebel Dancer’.
Scheduled for release in June this year, it will be a 12-track offering and will include the tracks ‘Heavy Ska Vibration’, ‘Numb’, ‘Relationship Suspended’, ‘Teenage Blood’ and ‘Rebel Dancer’ amongst others!
I’m sure King Hammond needs no introduction but if you have been living under a rock for the last forever, King Hammond is Nick Welsh and is an ex member of Bad Manners and The Selecter.
He’s also worked and performed with many of the genre’s greats throughout the years including Laurel Aitken, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Prince Buster, Judge Dread.
With a huge back catalogue of releases, and often performing with his band, ‘The Rude Boy Mafia’, he’s been prolific throughout his time in the scene and we’re certainly looking forward to this latest offering!
King Hammond & The Rude Boy Mafia can be caught live this year at a number of gigs and festivals including Leic-Ska 3 in February, Blackpool in June and the Leeds Ska & Mod festival in August.
