Bad Manners gig cancellations continue amid ill health.
Legendary UK ska outfit Bad Manners have been forced to cancel a string of winter tour dates after frontman Buster Bloodvessel fell ill, triggering a wave of postponements across the UK and Europe.

The first signs of trouble emerged on Christmas Day, when the band announced the cancellation of all remaining December shows and early January dates. In a statement shared across their official channels, Bad Manners confirmed that ill health was behind the decision, stressing that the move was necessary to protect Buster’s wellbeing and allow him time to recover.
Fans were told that full refunds would be available for all affected shows, with ticket holders advised to contact their point of purchase. While many expressed disappointment, the overwhelming response online was one of support, with fans wishing Buster a speedy recovery and praising the band for putting health first.
Amongst the casualties of the news was the Skamania Festival at HMV Empire, Coventry. Originally scheduled for January 2026, the festival had Bad Manners booked as a headline act, making their absence a major blow to the event.
Rather than run a reduced show, organisers made the difficult decision to postpone festival until January 2027, citing respect for the band’s situation and a desire to deliver the full experience fans were expecting. Tickets for the original show will be valid for the rearranged date but refunds are available for those unable to make the rearranged date.

Following this, Bad Manners issued a further update on their socials this week, confirming that upcoming dates in Germany and the Netherlands had also been cancelled.
The band reiterated that the decision was still linked to ongoing health concerns and that touring abroad would not be possible in the short term. European fans were once again offered refunds, with promoters across both countries backing the band’s decision.
Bad Manners’ decision to step back has been widely respected across the ska scene. With Buster Bloodvessel now in his mid-60s, many fans have highlighted the physical demands of touring and applauded the band for not pushing through at the expense of health.
Currently, no return date has been confirmed, but the band has reassured fans they intend to be back on stage as soon as health allows.
Rude Rebel sends our best wished to Buster and we’ll continue to monitor developments and update readers as soon as new dates are announced. Get well soon big man!
