Rude Six call it a day…for now

The UK Ska scene is desperately short of young Ska bands, so it is with a heavy heart that we hear of the demise of Nuneaton Ska outfit Rude Six.

Calling it an ‘indefinite hiatus’, the band announced their decision via their Facebook page on 10th October…

“After much discussion recently, we have made a tough call to take an ‘indefinite hiatus’ following our upcoming gig in Worcester this Saturday. We are extremely passionate about our band, but it can become a challenge keeping everything moving with already busy members and we feel a good break is needed, which we hope to at some point come back from stronger than ever.
RudeSix has been an incredible journey in just 5 years which has brought us so many memories and experiences to be forever grateful for. And we can’t thank everyone who has supported us in any way enough.
So.. If you can make it, you’d better get yourself a ticket for what *could* be our last ever show!”

Around since 2017 and fronted by vocalist Liv Linley, the band have never released an album but do have a number of cracking singles to their name including ‘Trip Club’, ‘Chelsea’ and ‘Lalala’.

We can only hope their indefinite hiatus turns out to not be as indefinite as we might suspect and we see them back on the scene sooner rather than later!
