Ever-present Maroon Town drop killer single

Maroon Town - Oh My Lord

Royalists often say that the royal family are an ever present continuity balancing influence in the UK that are always there, regardless of what else is going on.

Well, you could apply the same to Maroon Town and the UK Ska scene. They just seem to have always been there knocking out great tunes. From there killer debut album ‘High & Dry’ in 1990, to their latest releases, they have never failed to deliver!

And their latest offering, ‘Oh My Lord’, continues this trend with aplomb!

Featuring guest vocals from Swami Muffin, who a couple of the band recently met on their travels, it has a smooth traditional ska vibe that wouldn’t feel out of place being belted out on a sound system in the heart of Kingston.

Whilst it brings the summer vibes aplenty, it also has a serious message that laments the senseless killing of children in wars around the world, something that sadly is rarely not relevant.

Available on the usual streaming sites, you should definitely give it a listen!
