The Skapones announce album launch party
Darlington’s finest Ska export, The Skapones have announced that they will launch their latest album at The Majestic Theatre in their home town on Saturday 29th June.
Entitled ‘Ascension’, it will be the bands third full length album (along with a live CD and a remix album celebrating 10 years together!) and is being released in beautiful split black and gold vinyl, or on CD.
Now into their 11th year, The Skapones have had a hell of a ride, supporting many of the Ska and 2-Tone greats like Bad Manners, The Beat, and The Toasters. This culminated in the band supporting The Specials on their 40th Anniversary tour in 2019.
They toured the U.S. in 2019, playing the world famous ‘Whisky a Go Go’ and then returned in 2023 to the east coast and the huge Supernova Ska Festival! They’ve also had a number 1 single in the UK Reggae Charts!
