[spunge] to release ‘Pedigree Chump’ on vinyl…FINALLY!
UK Ska Punk veterans, [spunge] have announced that they will finally release their album ‘Pedigree Chump’ on vinyl!
Fans of the Tewkesbury band have only had to wait 25 years since the CD release, so to be fair, they have clearly been hard at it scratching the grooves into each individual blank vinyl by hand.
On a more serious note, originally released in 1999 on MoonSka Europe Records, this is an absolute blinding album and one of my personal favourites of all time. So much so that when it got stuck in my in-car CD player, I broke the thing apart to rescue it!
The original release of the CD album was limited to 3,000 copies and included a bonus CD of five live tracks. It was then re-released in December 2000 without the bonus CD and again in 2004 with the bonus tracks back in.
