Buffalo’s own The Abruptors – Mike Geraci (vocals/guitar), Toni LaMantia (vocals/keys/sax), Alex Schultz (drums), and Christian Lee (bass) have been kicking out sharp, soulful ska since 2015. Signed to Asian Man Records, the band mix ska, reggae, and rocksteady with heartfelt lyrics about emotion, fear, and life’s chaos.
Their latest single I Keep Running (Past Them) is a tight slice of upbeat ska, blending guitar-driven rhythm, punchy keys, and the flawless vocal interplay between Mike and Toni. It’s a toe-tapper — maybe not their strongest release, but one that’ll still have you hitting replay.
The B-side, Not Your Pet, steals the show for me. At just 1:19, it’s short, fast, and packed with energy – a quick burst of attitude that leaves you wanting more.
