Edinburgh’s ‘Pork Pie’ release four track E.P.

PorkPie - Excuses Excuses

Only last year, this Edinburgh outfit released their debut album ‘Skandemic’ and an absolute masterpiece it was too! You can see our review of that one here.

Well, it seems the band didn’t just leave it there, and released a four track EP earlier this month entitled ‘Excuses Excuses’.

It kicks of with the superb upbeat skanking title track ‘Excuses Excuses’ – echoes of 90’s European ska at it’s best and a great way to open the account!

‘Wind In My Sails’ slows the pace down to a steady reggae rhythm but still retains the superb sound.

Then it’s back into full on ska, bouncing along with ‘Shelter’, and completing the quartet with ‘Hands Go Numb’, a brass heavy banger of a tune!

I can’t speak highly enough of this release. It really is worth a listen and fingers crossed it gets a release on CD and Vinyl!

Until then, it’s available on all the usual streaming platforms!
