Geoff and Alison couldn’t be happier to be putting these wonderful artists on a stage for you on 28-29-30 June 2024! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe festival is set in a beautiful rural setting. The location is Stonham Barns\, Stowmarket Near Ipswich which has an owl sanctuary on site\, a children’s play area\, mini golf\, plus a coffee shop.\n\nThere are 2 bars for the weekend\, Legends Bar and the Barn Bar which will host our BootBoy Radios throughout the day and into your evening and will serve all your alcohol needs. In our VIP tent\, for those lucky enough to have a ticket\, there will be an outside bar and we will have an extra live act between 2.30- 3.30 in the bars Saturday and Sunday (as we can’t have music while owls do flying on main stage).\n\nCamping is available but we are limited so please get your camping tickets early if you want camping. We also have space for motor homes and hookups but again these are limited so get them snapped up quick.\n\nThe festival will see acts perform ska\, reggae\, ska-punk and northern soul. We have a great mixture of artists performing over the 3 days. Live music Starts at 4pm on Friday and DJs from 11am. Saturday and Sunday we’ll see DJs from 11am and live music starting from 12.30.\n\nThere will be traders\, food vendors and plenty of merchandise throughout the festival.\n\nWe will have extra shower blocks and toilet facilities for campers. Family’s are welcome but again we have a limited availability for the number of family campers\, so please book early.\n\nEarly bird tickets are on sale NOW!

DESCRIPTION:AKA The Syndicate & Sharp Class playing their original Ska & Mod tunes…… \nAKA The Syndicate are a collective of musicians from various ska\, reggae and punk bands. Gary Knight came up with the concept in 2020 during lockdown when live music was off the table – musicians from across the scene collaborated remotely and created the self-titled AKA The Syndicate – an album of original ska\, reggae and punk influenced music. After excellent reception from fans on the first release\, a second album ‘It’s Our World’ has now been recorded and crowdfunded by fans and will be released in 2023. Despite it never being the original intention\, AKA The Syndicate now performs as a live band\, already securing festival slots across the UK\, support slots with Bad Manners and an international booking to play alongside USA ska band The Slackers in Germany. \n“They came onstage and launched straight into ‘Two Sides of The City’ which set the stall out for the night ahead. Infectious and catchy soul grooves were on offer. There must be a big interest in the band as the hall was already three quarters full” – Brighton and Hove News (On Bad Manners support\, Concorde 2) \n“A pop-tinged reggae album that brings to mind a wide variety of other bands\, from Madness at their most successful to very early UB40\, and maybe even a hint of No Doubt thrown in for good measure.” – Scootering Magazine \nSHARP CLASS\nFrom the UK\, Sharp Class are a British power trio consisting of Oliver Orton on guitar and lead vocals\, Billy Woodfield on bass guitar and Declan Mills on the drums. Just as their name implies\, the trio have a sharp image\, one that gives the band its unique flair amongst a crowd. However\, Sharp Class extend beyond looks and presentation. Their songs are grounded in realism and spattered with an English essence\, while seamlessly merging the illustrious DNA of Punk\, Soul\, Power-Pop\, Britpop and Rock n’ Roll. Though that is not enough\, as a prominent magnetism within Sharp Class ensures that their live shows burst with enough energy to light up London. \nWherever Sharp Class go\, they always deliver an exciting performance. In May 2023\, the group travelled to New England to take part in a series of concerts. Their three-night run included shows in Rhode Island\, Portland\, and Somerville\, each of which showcased the unparalleled dynamism of the trio to international audiences. Ladies and Gentlemen… AKA The Syndicate in The Dublin Castle! \nWith excellent high energy support tonite from New Tonic – From the ashes of naughties Skangsters 2Tonic\, New Tonic are a new take on the band with 3 original and 3 new band members. \nPlaying old New Tonic originals\, some new material and their own take on some of the classics. The 2 Tone/Trojan/Brit Pop/Indie influenced band are intent on freshening up the scene and having already performed at the IOW Festival\, The Cavern Club\, Liverpool and several well known music venues. The band are already making a name for themselves with their electric\, energetic live performances as a must see band. New Tonic\, happy to be influenced but not to be labelled. \nAll this plus dancefloor sounds from the sixties and seventies to right now right thru til 2am courtesy We Got Killers.

DESCRIPTION:Vocalist with The Bodysnatchers and The Specials. \nRhoda Dakar started her career in 1979 as the lead vocalist with 2-Tone Records group The Bodysnatchers. The band hit the charts with a cover of the Dandy Livingstone classic Let’s Do Rock Steady. The Bodysnatchers toured with The Specials\, Toots and the Maytals\, and The Selecter before splitting in 1980. \nRhoda joined The Specials for the More Specials and In The Studio albums and co-wrote the seminal Free Nelson Mandela single. In 2014\, she released the Rhoda Dakar sings the Bodysnatchers album which consisted of songs performed live but never recorded by The Bodysnatchers. \nVersion Girl is the debut album from Rhoda Dakar on Sunday Best Recordings and features Rhoda covering songs by Morrissey\, David Bowie\, The Pretenders\, Patsy Cline\, Louis Armstrong\, Tim Buckley\, The Stranglers\, Maxime Le Forestier\, The Rolling Stones\, Boudleaux Bryant\, & Nick Lowe. \nAn AGMP Concerts presentation. \nhttps://www.facebook.com/events/352037034069395/
